NASHVILLE, TENN.<\/strong> \u2013 After announcing her headlining The Stages Tour<\/strong><\/em> earlier this week, multi-Platinum Country superstar Lauren Alaina<\/strong> releases new better-than-revenge anthem \u201cBetter Off<\/u><\/strong><\/a>\u201d from her forthcoming album Stages<\/u><\/strong><\/em><\/a>, due August 28. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wrote \u201cBetter Off\u201d from the perspective of a girl who finally realizes she didn\u2019t lose anything by being cheated on\u2026in a lot of ways, she ended up much better off. It\u2019s full of sass and attitude, but underneath it all, it\u2019s really about growth and knowing your worth,\u201d shares Alaina<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019m in such a beautiful season of life now with my husband and daughter, and this song feels like finally closing the door on a different stage of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Written by Alaina alongside Joe Fox, Matt Jenkins and Josh Miller, the new country-rock anthem has a clever twist in the chorus. Alaina sings: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her forthcoming album Stages<\/em>, produced by hitmakers Joey Moi<\/strong> and Ben Johnson<\/strong>, chronicles the defining chapters of Alaina\u2019s life with the lyrical candor she\u2019s known for, and signature powerhouse vocals. Over the course of the album, she explores coming of age and sowing wild oats on Nashville\u2019s Lower Broadway to starting a family and much more. The project builds on the momentum of chart-climbing \u201cAll My Exes (feat.
